Bolia x 3daysofdesign

Everything we do starts with an inquisitive mindset. We love building new creative partnerships because we believe that when we share our creativity, our world becomes an even better and more inspiring place to live in. That’s also why, every year, we take part in the inspiring 3daysofdesign festival in Copenhagen.

    • Creating inspiring spaces

Every year, we present a sneak peek of the new design icons from our upcoming AW collection, which are creatively put together in a series of special exhibitions celebrating the creativity involved in designing inspiring rooms – all under the theme of "The spaces we create are who we are”.

In the beautiful surroundings of our flagship store, we present new designs for home, outdoor and workspaces as well as special exhibitions and events that evolve from year to year. That means there will always be something new to discover when you visit us at 3daysofdesign.

With our flagship store and professional showroom in the heart of Copenhagen, we have the perfect setting to experiment and explore creativity – especially during 3daysofdesign. In the historic premises of Kuglegården, we bring our Scandinavian design heritage to the forefront, and for 3daysofdesign, the beautiful courtyard comes to life with sunshine, wonderful guests, and festive events.

    Sneak peek: The new collection

In 2024 we have presented new design icons created by some of the most talented designers from all corners of the world. Timeless designs for your home, your outdoor space and your place of work – made from the finest and most durable materials, and designed to form beautiful, luxurious and creative rooms.

    • Sustainability: From words to action

At Bolia, we want to make healthier, smarter and greener choices and to inspire consumers to buy less, but better. During 3daysofdesign, we showed how we are working towards setting goals for reducing our carbon footprint and working towards a more responsible industry through five key actions that are really making a difference.

Based on a shared passion for atmospheric electronic sounds, craftsmanship and creativity, we have teamed up with Pioneer DJ, the world's leading brand of professional DJ equipment, to create an exclusive furniture collection, Cord DJ, which blurs the lines between the vibrant club scene and the soothing atmosphere in the home.

Before exploring the vibrant Copenhagen design scene, we served cups of freshly brewed gourmet coffee in our pop-up coffee shop. The shop was built exclusively for 3daysofdesign together with the passionate coffee brewers from La Cabra, and the experience was brought to life by our shared interest in honest materials and respect for excellent craftmanship. And with an added spoonful of nerdiness thrown in. The coffee we serve is developed specially for us – and is offered in all our Bolia stores.

Back in 2023, we explored the intersection between art, design and gastronomy in collaboration with the multi-artist Frederikke Legaard, who created an incredible work of art with our Cosima sofa in an ensemble of the most breathtaking food installations. Every detail was carefully handcrafted and made a big impression on everyone who passed by.

    Talk: Blast Studio

“Dreaming of a city built from the waste it produces”

Blast Studio is a sustainability-focused and award-winning design and maker studio based in London, who collects discarded coffee cups in West London’s cafés and transform them locally into statement objects and furniture pieces.

"We started Blast Studio in 2018 with the aim to explore how nature and technology can be put in dialogue in order to transform cities’ discarded material into artefact and architecture. In nature nothing goes to waste, the scraps of an organism become the resource of another one. This circularity is at the heart of our work: cities’ waste is our resource to create the interiors of tomorrow."

    • Talk: Maja Malou Lyse

“Sex is not a natural act”

With an activist focus on the body and sexuality, pitched with both humour and critical thinking, artist Maja Malou Lyse presents her research into a field we consider to be the most natural in the world. Spaces are limited.

    Talk: Jill Hawkins

“The future of health, wellbeing & beauty”

Jill Hawkins is a globally experienced trends and insight consultant specialising in health, wellbeing, and creativity. A dynamic source of joy, she will energise, inspire, and encourage you to view the future from new perspectives — and to feel excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

“I find it interesting to explore what stimulates creativity and how to nurture your environments, mindset and lifestyle to enhance it or 'boost' your creative energy and imagination – these are all important factors of health and longevity as to me, creativity and wellbeing are very connected.”

    Liselotte Lyngsø

"The future of our work lives"

Future researcher Liselotte Lyngsø takes an inspiring look at our future working lives and how we ensure cohesion as we all move from a work-life to a life-work balance, where responsibility is decentralised, and movement patterns change.
